The Enduraplas 1000 Gallon White Horizontal Sump Bottom Leg Tank (SKU THD01000W) is a 1000-gallon natural white polyethylene horizontal leg tank built for transport and applicator work where the load rides on a trailer or skid. It carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating, and that one number is the reason this tank exists: at 1.9 SG the wall is qualified to carry liquids up to roughly 1.9 times the density of water, so it handles dense fertilizer blends and heavy acids without the wall fatigue you get when a 1.0 or 1.1 SG tank is pushed into the same service. Filled with water it holds 8,340 lb; filled to its 1.9 SG ceiling it is rated for up to 15,846 lb of contents - and 15,846 divided by 8,340 lands right at 1.9, so those two numbers are the same limit stated two ways, not two separate specs. The horizontal body sits on a molded sump bottom so contents drain toward the low point for cleaner emptying.

Chemical compatibility

The most expensive mistake on a tank like this is mismatched gaskets: the strong oxidizers and acids - Sodium Hypochlorite, Hydrogen Peroxide 50%, Sulfuric Acid 98%, Hydrochloric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, Phosphoric Acid - all require Viton, while the salts, glycols, and DEF run on EPDM. Drop EPDM where the chart calls for Viton and the gasket fails.
