On a trailer, a flatbed or the ground
At 80 by 62 inches the tank fits a tandem axle trailer or a flatbed, and at 65 inches tall it is a tall load for a pickup bed, so a trailer is the usual home. Full of water the contents alone weigh close to 7700 lb, and more with fertilizer, so the trailer's axle and tire ratings and the tow vehicle set the limit, not the tank. Strap it with the required bands through the moulded leg recesses, never over the manway. On the ground it needs a flat, continuous surface under all the legs, with no edge or step under any of them. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Before anything new goes in, check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide; the entries for urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite and phosphoric acid are the ones leg tank buyers ask about most. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the end wall. Your valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Inlet. None is fitted. Fill through the manway, or tell us where you want a fill port before the order ships.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top: wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean.
