The Enduraplas 1200 Gallon White Horizontal Leg Tank is built for hauling on a frame or skid, with a self-supporting leg-tank base molded into the 70 by 102-inch footprint and a 59-inch overall height. It holds 1,200 gallons in natural white polyethylene, and the white wall lets you read your liquid level at a glance in the field. This is the horizontal leg tank applicators reach for when they need real capacity that travels - search it as an enduraplas horizontal leg tank and this is the 1200-gallon version.

Will it work for your liquid?

Start with weight, because that is what limits a moving tank. Filled with water this tank carries 10,008 pounds of contents; at its 1.9 specific-gravity rating the polyethylene is engineered to carry up to 19,015 pounds of denser liquid. That 1.9 SG rating is the ceiling we offer on this tank and the whole reason to buy it - it lets you run heavy fertilizer blends and acids that a 1.5 SG tank cannot legally hold, with nothing heavier-rated needed to step up to. Before you load, match your liquid's specific gravity against that rating using the Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide so your trailer and hitch are rated for the loaded weight, not just the empty tank. Outlet, fill, and vent configuration is confirmed at order - check the technical drawing on this page for fitting locations and full dimensional detail.

Chemical compatibility

This is a 1.9 SG polyethylene tank, and that high rating means it already covers sulfuric acid at 98% and phosphoric acid at 85% - the heavy end of the chart. The resin is recorded as HDLPE but flagged for confirmation - confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before putting it into chemical service, since crosslinked and linear polyethylene behave differently with aggressive chemistries. Per the OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is always concentration- and temperature-specific, this tank handles a wide range of treatment and ag chemicals at the listed strengths, each with its matched fitting and gasket material:

The single biggest mistake on a tank like this is matching the wrong material to the chemical - and it is two separate calls. First the fitting metal: DEF and peracetic acid require 316SS fittings, not PVC, or the install will pit. Then the gasket: hydrochloric, sulfuric, phosphoric, hydrofluoric, peroxide, and hypochlorite service all call for Viton (or Aflas on peracetic acid), not the EPDM that suits the chlorides and carbonates. Always confirm your exact concentration and operating temperature against the OEM chart and our chemical compatibility reference before you order fittings.

Freight and ordering

This 1200-gallon horizontal leg tank ships LTL from a single plant in Neche, ND, quoted live to your ZIP. If you are outside the upper Midwest, run your ZIP through the Freight Cost Estimator before you commit - LTL from one ND origin can be heavy to the South and West Coast - or call 866-418-1777 for help. If you are spec'ing it for a fertilizer trailer, the applicator and leg tank guide covers DOT and non-roadable-trailer scope, the portable utility tank guide walks through the 49 CFR 173.5 farm exemption, and our fertilizer-blend stratification guide explains how to keep a heavy blend from salting out before it reaches the spreader.
