This is a 1400-gallon horizontal sump tank molded in polyethylene and rated to a specific gravity of 1.9. Filled with water at 8.34 lb/gal the contents alone run about 11,676 lb, and the tank is rated to carry up to roughly 22,184 lb of contents at its full SG rating. That is about 10,500 lb of contents-weight headroom over plain water, which is the margin that lets it haul fertilizer blends and dense chemical solutions. The catch: the tank's rating does not raise your running gear's rating. Chemical compatibility

The mistake to avoid

The common error on a horizontal leg tank this size is matching only the gallons and ignoring loaded weight, SG, and the gasket. Most of this list runs PVC fittings with EPDM gaskets, but several chemicals do not: hydrochloric 37%, hydrogen peroxide 50%, phosphoric 85%, sodium hypochlorite under 16.5%, and sulfuric 98% (on CPVC) all require Viton, peracetic acid 30% requires Aflas, and DEF and peracetic acid require 316SS metal. Do not substitute a cheaper EPDM seal on a Viton or Aflas chemical to save a few dollars - the gasket is the failure point. And before you commit to a frame, confirm it carries the full rated 22,184 lb at 1.9 SG, not just the water weight.
