Why the slosh guard matters

A hundred gallons of water is 834 lb that moves. In a plain tank it rushes to the front under braking and to the outside of a bend, and in a light truck or a UTV the driver feels it. The baffle divides that surge, so the load behaves more like cargo and less like a wave. Buy this tank for a service truck carrying water to a job, a landscape crew watering new plantings, a farm hauling water to stock, a dust control rig or a trail crew, anywhere the tank rides part full on rough ground. What goes in it

Water first. Polyethylene also handles liquid fertilizer and many common chemicals; check anything other than water in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill, keep the contents under 120 F, and remember the baffle makes the tank harder to rinse between products than a plain one. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 1 inch outlet. A 1 inch ball valve, a hose barb or a garden hose adapter is the normal next piece; tell us the valve or pump you are connecting and we will confirm the fitting type before the order ships.
2. Lid. An 8 inch lid on top, large enough to fill from a hose and to drop a pump intake through. The baffle sits below it, so a submersible pump goes in on one side of the guard.

The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the cost to your ZIP, and a small tank often rides cheaper on the same truck as a larger one, so put everything on one order. At the tailgate, check the part number against 43294, look at the bottom edge for transit damage, and fill it with water the first time before it carries anything else.
