Two hundred gallons in a 48 by 36 inch plan is a dense load: full, the tank puts 1668 lb of water onto twelve square feet of bed, which is nothing for a concrete floor and a real point load for a timber deck, a trailer or a half ton pickup. Work out the vehicle's payload before the tank arrives rather than after it is full, because the only fix at that point is to drain it. The bed under the tank must be flat across the whole footprint; a flat bottomed polyethylene tank that bridges a gap concentrates its load on the edges of the gap. Strap it through a frame or a cradle, never over the lid. Polyethylene handles water and the termiticides, insecticides and herbicides that go through these rigs at use concentration; confirm anything concentrated or solvent based against the material before you order. 1. Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top, wide enough to fill from a hose and to pour a measured jug of concentrate in, and small enough to keep the top flat for a reel. Keep the vent clear; a sealed tank starves the pump.
2. Outlet. No fitting is listed with this tank. Most rig builders drill and fit their own bulkhead where the plumbing wants it; tell us the size and the position you need and we will confirm what is available and what you fit yourself.
3. Height. At 37 inches the top of the tank is at working height. People will lean on it and rest tools on it. Put the lid where the hose reel does not block it.
