Openings and fittings
- Inlet. A 4 inch adapter with a PVC tee assembly, which takes standard 4 inch drain pipe from the house and drops the flow below the scum layer.
- Outlet. A 4 inch adapter with a PVC tee assembly, which draws from the clear zone and keeps solids out of the drain field. If your code requires an effluent filter, it goes in this tee; tell us and we will add one to the order.
- Manway. A 20 inch gasketed manway on top for pumping and inspection. Bring it to grade with a riser so the tank can be serviced without digging.

Setting it
Follow Norwesco's installation instructions for bedding, backfill and burial depth; they are the condition of the warranty. The usual method for a plastic septic tank is to set it level on a prepared bed, then fill it with water as the backfill goes in so the walls are supported from both sides, and 750 gallons of water is 6255 lb of ballast. Keep vehicles off the area over the tank. Where groundwater is high, ask the installer about the manufacturer's guidance on anchoring before the tank goes in.
