One size, several walls: why this one

Several Snyder tanks share the 1007300 base number, and the letters at the end tell them apart. This one, N48, is the black cross-linked version. Choosing among them comes down to three questions about your liquid.

1. How dense is it? This wall is rated to 1.9 specific gravity, nearly twice the weight of water. For a dense liquid that rating is the reason to buy.
2. How warm does it get? Cross-linked polyethylene, XLPE, carries a 140 F service limit here. Bonding the polymer chains together during moulding also makes the wall tougher and more resistant to stress cracking than standard polyethylene. 3. Does light harm it? Black blocks light, which protects liquids that break down in sunlight and keeps algae out of water. The trade is a hidden level and a wall that warms in the sun.
