What to check before you buy

1. The tank. A Snyder 150, 750 or 1000 gallon DCT tank. The tank decides where a gauge mounts, not the gauge, so check the tank's own page and drawing for the fittings it carries.
2. The liquid. The gauge body is PVC. It suits water and the liquids PVC handles; for anything aggressive, check the liquid against PVC before you order and ask us if it is not on the list. 3. Who reads it. Mount a gauge where the person who refills or runs the tank actually stands, at a height they can read without climbing.

Installing it

Fit the gauge with the tank empty and dry-fit everything before tightening, so the connections point where you want them. Decide what level you actually need to see, the point below which the pump must stop and the point above which the next delivery will not fit, and make sure both fall within the visible run of the gauge. Fill with water the first time and watch the gauge track the level before anything else goes in; a leak at a gauge connection should show up with water in the tank, not product.

Shipping

The gauge ships by UPS in a 24 by 5 by 5 inch carton at 5 lb, under NMFC 95190, from Snyder's Lincoln, Nebraska plant when ordered loose. Fittings installed on a tank at the factory ship with the tank from that tank's plant. The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the cost to your ZIP. If you are ordering it with a tank, put both on one order so the gauge is on site the day the tank is set.
