Where this tank earns its keep

Two hundred and ten gallons is a day-tank volume: the buffer between a bulk delivery and a metering pump, sized so the pump never sees an empty line and the chemical never sits long enough to matter. That puts this tank in a water plant's feed room, beside a batch mixer in a food or beverage plant, in a car wash equipment room, and on a nursery's feed skid. Measure to the underside of whatever is above the tank, allow for the lid coming off and a hose coming over the rim, then choose the height; do not buy a taller shell you cannot open. Underneath, the whole load bears on the 36 inch circle, so the slab is level and in full contact to the concrete pad sizing guide, inside containment sized to the tank where the liquid is regulated. Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway and vent. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 55 inches up, carries the fill in and all the displaced air out. Match the vent path to the delivery pump's rate; a tote pump moves this volume in minutes, and air has to leave as fast as liquid arrives or the headspace pushes on the lid.
2. Outlet. The manway is the only opening listed for this tank. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you need when you order and we will confirm what can be fitted before anything is drilled.
3. Headspace. Leave the freeboard the tank sizing guide calls for and treat the manway as the inspection hatch rather than the fill line. A dense liquid that warms in the tank has to have somewhere to expand.
