A threaded vented manway at four feet ten inches

• Access, first and loudest: an 18 inch threaded, vented manway at the top of a 58 inch shell, four feet ten inches up. That is reach-and-lean height rather than climb height, so a fixed step and a handhold do it, and the cover can be threaded home properly without anyone working off a ladder.
