The inner tank sits inside a second polyethylene wall that holds a leak instead of letting it reach the floor. The assembly is 102 inches in diameter, 178 inches tall and 3,200 lb empty. It is rated for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity and a service limit of 140 F (60 C), both the top figures in this shell. Water fills it to 33,360 lb; at the full 1.9 rating it carries up to 63,384 lb. The top carries an 18 inch threaded vented manway. Snyder backs it with a 3 year warranty.

When crosslinked polyethylene is the right wall
Snyder sells this 4,000 gallon double wall shell in several walls, and this is the one for the hardest duty: a liquid up to 1.9 times the weight of water that also arrives or lives warm, up to 140 F, which is what crosslinked polyethylene is chosen over linear polyethylene for. Concentrated acids that heat on dilution, coagulants from a warm process line and bulk chemicals unloaded in summer sun are the usual reasons. If the liquid is dense but cool, the linear 1.9 tank does the job; if it is light and cool, the 1.5 tank does. We will say which when you name the product. Openings, fittings and the space between the walls
- Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway at 178 inches, so a fixed ladder, a platform and fall protection are part of the installation. Keep the vent clear; on a warm chemical it breathes more than you expect.
- Outlet and pump. Tell us the chemical, the temperature, the line size and the pump at order and we will confirm which fittings this part number ships with and match every wetted part to the liquid. The wall is black, so a low level cut-out on the pump replaces eyesight.

Lift under the base, never by the manway, set it on the cured slab before any pipe is connected, fill it with water and hold the load while you read the base and the manway seal, then drain and dry before the chemical arrives.
