Where it goes

At 158 inches tall this tank goes where a taller acid tank will not: under a canopy, inside an existing chemical building, below a pipe rack or a service run. It still holds 3,500 gallons, a real bulk quantity for pH control at a water or wastewater plant, fertilizer and chemical blending, or process supply, with day tanks and metering pumps fed from it. Snyder publishes no acid strength against this part number, so tell us the concentration and the temperature and we will confirm the tank with Snyder before the order. What to check before you buy

1. Clear height. 158 inches is the tank alone. Add the fill line, the transmitter and room to open the manway, then measure the building.
2. Pad. Over twenty-seven tons at the full rating, on a 102 inch circle. That needs a designed slab, not an old yard surface; see our guide to concrete pad sizing for above ground polyethylene tanks.
3. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top for filling, instruments and inspection.
4. Fittings. No factory outlet is listed. Tell us the connections your piping needs; on a Captor they pass through both walls and are installed at the factory.
