Where a narrow 100 gallon cone fits
This tank holds a hundred gallons on a footprint less than two feet across. It is the day tank beside a dosing pump, the holding tank in a corner of a wash bay, the gravity feed on a mezzanine, anywhere the footprint matters more than the fill height. The shallow cone means it drains from a point rather than a flat bottom, so sediment and the last of the product go out through the valve instead of staying behind. It is not the tank to buy for dissolving powders or holding a heavy suspension; those want the steeper cones of the inductor tanks. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals are the normal loads. Check anything else in our chemical compatibility guide before the first fill; urea solution, calcium chloride, aluminum sulfate, sodium carbonate and acetic acid are the entries cone tank buyers open most. Openings, fittings and what to check before you buy
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the point of the cone. A ball valve threads straight in. Fit it before the first fill and support the valve and the first length of pipe so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid. Enough for a fill hose, a float or a look inside, not for a bag of product or an arm. Fill from a hose or a pump.
- Height. Sixty-three inches of tank before the stand goes under it. Measure the ceiling and the doorway, and plan how the lid will be reached.
- The stand. Norwesco pairs this tank with stand N-41477. A 15 degree cone needs a 15 degree cradle; the stands for the steeper inductor tanks do not fit.
