Chemical compatibility
This tank is molded from polyethylene and carries a 1.5 specific gravity rating. Before you commit it to chemical service, confirm the tank resin (HDLPE versus XLPE) and SG rating against the OEM specification, because resin construction changes long-term resistance to certain oxidizers and solvents. This is a 1.5 SG tank: if your chemistry appears on the 1.9-SG list further down, this model is NOT rated for it and you should step up to the heavier-wall version. Fittings are not included, so you select bulkhead and outlet fittings in the material shown for your chemical (PVC, CPVC, PP, or 316SS) with the matching gasket.
