A 14 gallon spot sprayer tank for an ATV, a UTV or a garden cart
The Norwesco 14 gallon spot sprayer tank, part number 45115, is a white polyethylene tank 31 inches long, 14 inches wide and 15 inches tall, weighing 13 lb empty. It is the long, low shape built to sit on the rack of an ATV or in the bed of a UTV or a garden cart and carry a spot spraying rig: a small pump, a wand and a hose. It comes with no fittings, so you drill and fit the pump suction and any return line where your rig needs them, and it has a 5 inch lid on top. The tank is rated for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity, which covers water, most liquid fertilizers and the herbicide and pesticide mixes that polyethylene handles; 14 gallons of water weighs 117 lb. The resin is FDA compliant per Norwesco and the service limit is 120 F. White lets you see the level through the wall in daylight, which is what you want on a tank that is refilled from a jug between passes.

Where it goes
This is the size for spot spraying weeds along a fence line, a driveway or a pasture edge from an ATV, for a small water supply on a garden cart, or for a rinse tank riding beside a larger sprayer. At 31 by 14 inches it fits most ATV rear racks with room for the pump beside it, and at 15 inches tall it keeps the weight low. Full of water the contents weigh close to 120 lb, which is inside most rear rack ratings but close to some, so check the rack and keep the tank forward. Strap it across the body, never over the lid, and give it a flat surface under the whole base; a tank that rocks on a rack works its straps loose.
What goes in it
Water and the herbicide, pesticide and liquid fertilizer mixes that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Before anything new goes in, check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide, and rinse the tank between products so the last spray does not end up in the next one. Openings and fittings
- Lid. A 5 inch lid on top is the only opening as shipped: big enough to fill from a hose or a jug and to see the level. Norwesco's drawing, linked on this page, shows the lid type and position; call us if you need to know before you order whether it vents.
- Outlet. None is fitted. For a sprayer, a small bulkhead fitting low on an end wall gives the pump a suction with the whole tank above it; a flat area of wall at least as wide as the fitting's flange is what the gasket needs to seal. Tell us the pump you are using and we will put the right fitting on the same order.
- Inlet. None is fitted. Fill through the lid.
