Where it goes
Pull type and mounted sprayers, lawn care and pest control rigs, spot spray skids and wash down carts all carry a rinse tank of about this size. Twelve gallons is enough to flush a boom and clean a filter in the field, or to rinse an operator's gloves and face, without adding real weight to the rig. Because it is a cone bottom tank it cannot stand on its own: it needs a bracket or a small stand that cradles the cone and leaves room for a valve underneath. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. Norwesco lists the outlet at the bottom of the cone as 0.75, which on a tank this size means a three quarter inch connection. Confirm the thread with us before you order the valve, and support the valve so the cone tip carries liquid, not hardware.
- Inlet. None. The tank is filled through the 5 inch lid, which is sized for a hose nozzle rather than a bucket.
- Lid. 5 inch, on top. Keep it closed on the road; a rinse tank that fills with dust is no cleaner than the boom it is meant to rinse.
