Eight feet across, eight feet tall

A shell as tall as it is wide is the steady middle of the range: wide enough to stand outdoors with a strap rather than a frame, short enough that the manway is reachable from a step rather than a ladder, and square enough to plan a pad around without surprises. It goes through a standard eight foot opening with nothing to spare, so measure the door and the lowest point on the path in before you order, not after the truck is in the yard. Openings, fittings and the pad

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the wall. Your valve or camlock threads straight in. Support the valve and the first length of pipe so the tank wall carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top for the fill hose, a float switch and cleaning. The vent lets the tank breathe as it fills and drains; never plug it.
3. The pad. The whole 96 inch circle needs continuous, level contact: a slab, a steel plate, or a compacted and screeded bed with a retained edge. Give it a slight fall away so the tank never stands in its own overflow, and leave room to reach the outlet with two hands and a wrench. Strap the tank before the first fill.
4. The liquid. Up to 1.5 specific gravity and 120 F. Heavier liquids need the 1.9 rated heavy duty versions below. Check anything other than water with us before you order.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 400, 96 by 96 by 96 inches on the trailer and 380 lb, from Norwesco's Burnet, Texas plant, which makes Texas and the states around it the short lane. The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the lane cost to your ZIP. An eight foot cube needs a gate and a set-down spot to match; tell us if the yard is tight. At the tailgate, check the part number 41523 on the bill of lading, walk round the shell for transit damage before the driver leaves, set it with the outlet toward the pipe run, and fill it with water the first time.
