300 Gallon HDPE Vertical Liquid Storage Tank

Narrow enough for the inside of a building

At 35 inches across, this tank stands in a space a wide tank never could: the corner of a pump room, beside a well head, on a skid, under a stair. At 80 inches tall the manway is just above head height, so it is filled from a short step. Typical jobs are a day tank feeding a chemical metering pump at a water or wastewater plant, a cleaning or process chemical inside a factory, a small fertilizer or additive tank on a farm, or water storage where floor space is tight.

The 1.9 rating is the heavy duty wall. Full of water the tank holds 2,502 lb (300 x 8.34); filled with a 1.9 liquid, 4,754 lb (300 x 1.9 x 8.34). That covers most of the dense chemicals a dosing station handles, but always check the liquid itself in our chemical compatibility guide, and stay under 120 F. Openings and what to check before you buy

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting near the floor, for a valve or the suction of a metering pump. Confirm the gasket material for your chemical with us.
2. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. On anything that fumes, pipe the vent outdoors.
3. Stability. A tall, narrow tank tips more easily than a squat one, especially when it is nearly empty. Strap it to the wall or set it in a restraint, and use a flexible connector at the outlet so a bump does not load the fitting.
4. Containment. Indoor chemical tanks usually sit inside secondary containment; check your code and allow for it in the floor plan.

The tank ships LTL from Marked Tree, AR, at 35 by 35 by 80 inches and 65 lb on a pallet. Check 1630000C26 on the bill of lading, look for scuffs or cracks around the outlet, and fill it with water first to check for weeps before the chemical goes in.
