This tank is listed at 80 inches tall and 65 pounds where the three 1011200 moldings are listed at 82 inches and 85 pounds, as the sheets give them. Those three are the heavy duty group, one of them black for a liquid daylight spoils and one crosslinked, and they are the buy when the wall grade is what the job specifies. The two neighbours change the silhouette rather than the grade: 1013000C26 holds 290 gallons at 36 inches across and only 72 inches tall, six feet, which is the one that fits under a low shelf or inside a cabinet frame, and 1008200C26 spreads 330 gallons onto a 47 inch base and stands just 50 inches, the squat one for a bench-height install or a tank that has to sit under a work platform. Take this one when the footprint has to stay at 35 inches, the sheet has to publish a limit and a term, and the tank has to arrive on a pallet.

An 18 inch manway on a 35 inch tank is half the width of the shell

• Access: an 18 inch threaded vented manway, 80 inches up. On a shell 35 inches across, an 18 inch opening is half the diameter of the tank, which means this small vessel is genuinely cleanable: an arm, a light and a brush all reach the wall and the floor, which is not true of most tanks this size. Six feet eight inches to the rim is a step ladder rather than a platform, and the lid still needs to be closed between fills with the vent kept clear.
• Filling: bring the fill down inside the tank rather than dropping it from the rim. In a narrow shell a free falling delivery aerates the liquid and stirs whatever has settled, which matters more here than on a wide tank because the whole volume is in the path.

• Outlet: a 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting at the base, as the sheet lists it, which is a generous outlet for 300 gallons and drains the tank quickly. Name the liquid at order so the fitting, gasket and bolting are matched to it, and put a union downstream of the valve.
• Limits: 120 F / 48 C and a 3 Year Warranty, as the sheet gives them.

Six feet eight inches of liquid over a 2 inch outlet is a fast drain and a modest suction head, so the pump goes below the fitting with a short falling run and a cleanable strainer, and a low level cut-out stops it before it draws air. Because the tank is light and tall, the plumbing has to be supported independently of the shell: a flexible connector on the first joint, the valve carried on a bracket off the wall or the skid rather than on the tank, and no rigid pipe run tying the fitting to something immovable. Strap the shell, keep a bollard or a rail between it and traffic, and where it freezes protect the valve and the exposed run rather than the body.

Day tanks, dosing skids and the tote that has to go

Three hundred gallons is a working day, not a season, and that is what this tank is bought for. Class 400, LTL, and a tank two people set by hand
