Where it goes
Two numbers decide whether this tank fits: 60 inches across the floor and 114 inches to the top of the manway. Measure the door it has to pass through and the ceiling it has to stand under, including the clearance to open the manway, before you order. Full of water the tank is close to 10425 lb on that footprint, and a liquid at the 1.9 rating is heavier still. A tall narrow tank is also the one most affected by wind and by a knock from a forklift, so site it against a wall or inside, and restrain the top where the local code or your insurer asks for it. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the industrial and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads, and the 1.9 rating is what lets this tank take the heavier ones. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the sidewall. Your valve, camlock or pipe adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, 114 inches up, so plan on a ladder or a platform to fill from above, dip the tank or clean it. The vent lets the tank breathe as it fills and drains; never plug it.
