Where it goes
The 84 inch diameter is the number to take to the site. The tank needs a flat, level, continuous pad at least that wide, with no slope, joint or drain under it; polyethylene tanks carry their load through the whole floor, and a pad that supports only the rim cracks the base over time. At 64 inches tall the manway is reachable from the ground for most people, so filling, dipping and cleaning need no ladder. Full of water the tank is close to 10800 lb on the pad, and a liquid at the 1.9 rating is heavier still. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the industrial and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads, and the 1.9 rating is what lets this tank take the heavier ones. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a siphon tube, factory installed. The siphon tube reaches down inside the tank so the outlet draws from the low point and empties the tank rather than leaving the bottom few inches behind the fitting. Your valve, camlock or pipe adapter threads into the outside. Support the valve and the first length of pipe on their own so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
- Manway. A 16 inch threaded vented manway on top, wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, to drop a float in, and to get a hand and a brush inside to clean. The vent lets the tank breathe as it fills and drains; never plug it.
