A 42 inch base under 58 inches of height is the steadiest shape in the 300 gallon family and the one that least needs a strap, though a wall band is still cheap insurance where carts and mowers pass. The width is the thing to check against the route in: a 42 inch tank does not pass a standard interior doorway standing up, so plan the path before it arrives. The base must be flat and continuous out to the full edge, with nothing packed under one side; a rotomolded floor bears on whatever touches it and nothing else. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water need a heavy duty tank rather than this one. What to check before you buy

1. The outlet and lid. Norwesco's figures for this tank do not spell out the outlet fitting and lid size the way they do for the heavier 300 gallon tanks. Tell us the valve or hose you are connecting and we will confirm the outlet and the lid against the drawing before the tank ships, and quote any fitting you want factory installed.
2. The drawing. Norwesco's own drawing for this tank is linked under Technical Drawing on this page. It shows the outlet position and the lid, and it is the thing to read before you plumb.
3. The temperature. Keep hot process liquids out of it unless we have confirmed the temperature limit for your duty.
