The Enduraplas 730 Gallon Round Rainwater Storage Tank in black is a vertical polyethylene tank built for above-ground rainwater capture and bulk water storage. It holds a nominal 730 gallons in a squat, round profile: 71 in. diameter by 48 in. overall height, which is the same 71 x 71 in. footprint shown on the record. That low height fits under most gutter downspout runs and eave lines without a tall stand, and the black wall cuts light transmission into the stored water to help hold back algae growth in outdoor harvesting service. Dimensions on this listing are verified against launch data, and the technical drawing on this page shows the tank profile and fitting location.
Will it work for your site?
At 730 gallons this tank fills to roughly 6,088 pounds of water. Spread across the 71 x 71 in. footprint (about 35 sq ft), that is only around 174 lb per square foot of bearing pressure at full, but the base still has to carry it continuously and level. Set the tank on a level, fully supported surface rated for the loaded weight, not on scattered blocks or bare soil that can settle unevenly. If you are still deciding on volume for your roof catchment or draw-down, run the numbers through our Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide before you commit.
Fittings and rainwater setup
Per the drawing, this tank carries a single 1" bulkhead outlet (part 60427). A bulkhead fitting seals with its own integral gasket against the tank wall, so the connection is the sealing element and there is no separate flange to source. Plan on that one factory outlet; any additional inlet, overflow, or vent penetrations are field-added, not included. For a clean harvesting system, handle your inlet and first-flush ahead of the tank rather than as an afterthought. Our writeup on first-flush diverter sizing per the Texas Manual on Rainwater Harvesting covers keeping the initial dirty roof wash out of storage. If this tank is one node in a larger grey-water or condensate reuse train, the industrial water reuse topology guide covers quality-banded storage and staging.
Pad and foundation
Our concrete pad sizing guide lays out the ACI 360R-10 framework for above-ground polyethylene tanks, so you can design the base against that ~174 lb/ft² full-tank load. Sites using stored rainwater as a rural fire-protection reserve should also review the NFPA 22 reservoir design guide for sizing and freeze protection.
