The Enduraplas 2500 Gallon Black Cone Bottom Tank with Stand (SKU THC02500KB) is built for full-drain chemical batching, mixing, and dosing where you need the vessel to empty completely through the cone apex. It stands 130" tall on a 90"-diameter footprint, molded in black polyethylene with a 1.9 specific gravity rating, an empty weight of 500 lb, and FDA-approved material. The integrated stand supports the cone so gravity does the draining for you, and the tank arrives ready to plumb with a 3" PP female NPT bulkhead outlet at the cone tip and a 16" threaded vented manway up top for filling, inspection, and mixer access. See the technical drawing on this page to confirm the stand height and apex fitting layout against your plumbing.
Will it hold your load
The 1.9 SG rating is the number that matters on a cone-bottom chemical tank: it tells you the tank wall and cone are engineered to carry contents up to 1.9 times the weight of water — and 1.9 is the highest rating offered on this vessel, so there is nothing denser to step up to. Filled with water this tank carries roughly 20,850 lb; at its maximum rated content density it is built to hold about 39,615 lb. Because a cone-bottom design puts all of that weight onto the stand and the apex fitting, match your product's specific gravity to the 1.9 rating before you buy — a heavier slurry than the tank is rated for is the most common and most expensive mistake on this style of vessel. Run your volume and product density through our Tank Sizing Calculator or read the Tank Sizing Guide if you want the numbers checked first.
Chemical compatibility
This is an HDLPE-resin tank rated to 1.9 SG. The resin designation carries a "?", so confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before committing the tank to chemical service — the two resins diverge most on strong oxidizers, so for sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric acid, and peracetic acid that confirmation is the gating question before you order. All compatibility below is drawn from the Snyder Industries OEM chemical-resistance chart and is concentration- and temperature-specific; confirm your exact chemical, concentration, temperature, and fitting plus gasket materials first. At the full 1.9 SG rating this tank is suited to ethylene glycol (100%, PVC/EPDM), ferric chloride (50%, PVC/EPDM), ferric sulfate (60%, PVC/EPDM), hydrochloric acid (37%, PVC/Viton), hydrofluoric acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrofluosilicic acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrogen peroxide (50%, PVC/Viton), phosphoric acid (85%, PVC/Viton), sodium hypochlorite (below 16.5%, PVC/Viton), sulfuric acid (98%, CPVC/Viton), peracetic acid (30%, 316SS/Aflas), potassium hydroxide (saturated, PVC/EPDM), potassium carbonate (50%, PVC/EPDM), sodium bisulfate and sodium bisulfite (PVC/PP, EPDM), propylene glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), zinc orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM), polyaluminum chloride (PVC/EPDM), and ozonated water (up to 10 PPM, PVC/EPDM). Lower-density products including acetic acid (60%), aluminum sulfate (50%), calcium chloride (40%), magnesium chloride (30%), sodium carbonate (30%), ferrous sulfate (20%), DEF (32.5%, 316SS/EPDM), and urea solution (50%, PP/PVC, EPDM) also fall within this tank's window. Match every wetted part before you order using our full Chemical Compatibility Database.
Watch the outlet material
The tank is supplied with a 3" PP (polypropylene) bulkhead outlet. PP is fine for many of the products above, but it does not satisfy the chart-specified wetted materials for several chemicals on this list: sulfuric acid at 98% calls for CPVC; sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, and hydrogen peroxide call for PVC with Viton gaskets; and DEF and peracetic acid call for 316SS. For those services, plan to swap the supplied PP fitting for the chart's specified material and gasket — spec the fitting and gasket to the chemical, not just the tank. Note also that the cone angle is not published on this listing; confirm the exact cone degree with us if your process depends on it before ordering.
