The Enduraplas 3000 Gallon Black Horizontal Sump Bottom Leg Tank ships with its integrated frame and is built to haul heavy liquids over the road. The black polyethylene shell carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating, the top of the poly range, so it is engineered for dense fertilizer blends and aggressive chemistries that lighter-rated tanks cannot hold. The horizontal leg-tank body measures 130 inches long by 87 inches wide by 94 inches tall, with an 87.0 x 130.0 inch footprint that sets onto a trailer or skid frame for field and nurse-tank duty.

Will it work for your load?

Filled with water this tank carries 25,020 pounds; at its 1.9 SG rating it is engineered for a maximum rated contents weight of 47,538 pounds. Plan your trailer, axle ratings, and tie-downs around those numbers before you load, not after. The sump bottom slopes contents toward the low point so you can draw a horizontal leg tank down between runs or when switching products. As a black tank, the wall blocks light to slow algae growth in stored water and stands up to UV in open-yard storage. To match gallons to your application and confirm the rig can carry the loaded weight, use the Tank Sizing Calculator and the Tank Sizing Guide. If you run fertilizer blends, the field guide on fertilizer-blend tank stratification covers the mixing and verification steps that keep a load on spec, and our guides on applicator and leg tanks for fertilizer and portable utility tanks under the agricultural exemption explain the DOT scope for hauling. See the technical drawing on this page for outlet, fill, vent, and sump-drain detail before you finalize plumbing.

Chemical compatibility

This is a polyethylene tank rated to 1.9 specific gravity, which is the maximum rating available in polyethylene; no heavier-rated poly tank exists for this service. The resin reads as HDLPE on the data we have, but with a question mark, so confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us at 866-418-1777 before putting this tank into chemical service. With resin verified, the 1.9 SG rating opens a broad slate of chemistries. Running on PVC, PP, or stainless fittings with EPDM gaskets: Acetic Acid at 60%, Aluminum Sulfate at 50%, Calcium Chloride at 40%, Ethylene Glycol at 100%, Ferric Chloride at 50%, Ferric Sulfate at 60%, Ferrous Sulfate at 20%, Magnesium Chloride at 30%, Potassium Carbonate at 50%, Potassium Hydroxide (saturated), Sodium Carbonate at 30%, Sodium Thiosulfate at 40%, and Urea Solution at 50%. The single most common mistake is matching the gasket to the wrong chemical: EPDM fails on oxidizers, which is exactly why Hydrochloric Acid at 37%, Hydrofluoric Acid at 48%, Hydrofluosilicic Acid at 26%, Hydrogen Peroxide at 50%, Phosphoric Acid at 85%, and Sodium Hypochlorite below 16.5% call for Viton gaskets instead, and Sulfuric Acid at 98% calls for CPVC fittings with Viton. Peracetic Acid at 30% pairs 316SS fittings with Aflas gaskets, and DEF at 32.5% specifies 316SS with EPDM. Polyaluminum Chloride, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, and Zinc Orthophosphate are also compatible per the chart. Always verify against the OEM chemical-resistance chart for your exact concentration and temperature, since ratings shift with both. Start with our full chemical compatibility reference.
