Where it goes

Under a fertilizer or chemical tank at a loadout point, under a tote in a shop, under a bank of drums on a dock, under a generator or a transfer pump: anywhere a spill has to be contained and cleaned up rather than absorbed. The usual sizing rule for secondary containment is the full volume of the largest single container plus an allowance for rain if the tray sits outdoors; your state and local rules set the exact figure, and this tray's 250 gallons is the number you compare against. The 92 by 68 inch footprint takes a tank up to that size standing in it, or several drums with room to walk between. At 11 inches tall it is low enough to step over and to roll a drum into with a short ramp. What to check before you buy

1. The liquid. Polyethylene handles water, most fertilizers and many common chemicals, and the tray is rated to 1.5 specific gravity. Check anything aggressive against the material; a containment tray holds a spill for hours or days, not minutes.
2. The volume rule. Compare the 250 gallons against the largest container that will stand in it and your local containment requirement. If you are close, go up a size.

4. Emptying it. There is no drain fitting. Plan on a pump or a wet vacuum to clear rain and spills, or tell us if you want a bulkhead fitting added and where, and we will confirm how the tray comes to you.
5. The tank in it. The tank's own legs or base sit on the tray floor. Put a flat support board under a tank with a small footprint so the tray floor carries the load evenly.
