The Norwesco 35 gallon black horizontal leg tank, part number 41710, is the smallest of Norwesco's leg tanks: a polyethylene tank 29 inches long, 20 inches wide and 23 inches tall, weighing 15 lb empty. The moulded legs let it sit flat in a UTV bed, on a small trailer, on a cart or on a bench without a cradle. It comes with a 3/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting as the outlet and a 5 inch threaded vented lid on top. Norwesco rates it for liquids up to 1.5 specific gravity and to 120 F, states the resin is FDA compliant, lists it as NSF 61, and backs it with a 3 year warranty. Thirty-five gallons of water weighs about 292 lb. Black keeps light out of the contents.

Where 35 gallons on legs is the right size
This is a spot sprayer tank, a water supply for a pressure washer on a trailer, a nurse tank for a garden, or a mixing tank on a shop cart. At 29 by 20 inches it fits across most UTV and side-by-side beds with room for a small electric pump beside it, and at 292 lb full it stays inside the payload of those machines where a bigger tank would not. The legs take the load straight to the deck; strap over the body between the legs, never over the lid. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer, herbicide mixes and the common farm and shop chemicals that polyethylene handles, up to 1.5 times the weight of water and 120 F. Before anything but water goes in, check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide; the entries small leg tank buyers ask about most are urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite and propylene glycol. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 3/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, installed low in the end wall. A 3/4 inch valve, hose barb or pump inlet threads straight in. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting is not carrying hardware over rough ground.
- Lid. A 5 inch threaded vented lid on top: big enough to fill from a hose and to drop a strainer in, and vented so the tank breathes as the pump draws.
