Where it goes
This is the size for a fresh water or waste water tank on a small food cart, a hand wash station, a coolant or wash tank on a machine, a dosing day tank, a sample or rinse tank on a sprayer, or a fleet of identical tanks for a classroom, a lab or a kit. The 14 by 9 inch footprint sits in a cabinet or under a counter, and at 18 inches tall it fits under most bench tops. Full of water the contents weigh close to 60 lb, so a shelf that holds a full one needs to be rated for it, and a tank that rides on a vehicle needs a strap or a bracket. What goes in it
Water, soap and rinse solutions, coolant, liquid fertilizer and the common treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Openings and fittings
- Lid. A 5 inch threaded vented lid on top is the only opening as shipped: big enough to fill from a hose or a jug and to see inside, and the vent lets the tank breathe as it empties so a pump does not pull the wall in.
- Outlet. None is fitted. If you want one, a bulkhead fitting goes through a flat area of wall at least as wide as its flange so the gasket seals all the way round; on a tank this small, pick the smallest fitting that does the job and put it low on the long side. Tell us the connection you are making and we will put the right fitting on the same order.
- Inlet. None is fitted. Fill through the lid.
