A 75 gallon black vertical tank that stands in a 23 inch circle
The Norwesco 75 gallon black vertical storage tank, part number 43785, is a polyethylene tank 23 inches in diameter and 49 inches tall, weighing 28 lb empty. It is a tall, narrow tank for a spot where floor space is tight and height is not: a utility room, a pump house, the corner of a greenhouse or a wash bay. Where it goes
At 49 inches tall with the lid on top, the tank needs a little more than that in headroom to fill and inspect; measure the ceiling before you order, especially under a stair or in a crawl space. The 23 inch footprint fits through any door and beside most equipment. Typical duties are a pressure tank or make-up water reservoir in a pump house, a day tank feeding a chemical pump, a rainwater or condensate collection tank indoors, and a reserve for a small fire pump or a sprinkler test loop. What goes in it
Water, fertilizer solution and the treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Check anything stronger in our chemical compatibility guide before it goes in, and keep the contents at or below 120 F. Openings and fittings
- Outlet. A 1-1/4 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the side wall. A 1-1/4 inch ball valve, a hose adapter or a pump suction threads straight in. Dry-fit the valve so the handle clears the wall, and support any pipe on its own so the fitting carries liquid, not weight.
- Lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top: big enough to fill from a hose, drop a float in, and get a brush inside. Keep the vent clear so a pump can draw without pulling the walls in.
