What to check before you buy
- The tank. One of Norwesco's 55, 70 or 85 gallon applicator tanks. A different capacity or a different maker's tank has a different bottom and will not seat in it.
- The footprint. 23 by 15 inches, 11 inches tall. That is the flat, continuous deck it needs and the height it adds to the tank's fill point and outlet. Measure the frame or bed before you order.
- Mounting. No anchor bolts, straps or hardware come with the assembly. The fasteners and the strap are yours, and the vehicle's deck and payload rating, not the saddle, are usually the limit with a full tank.
- The finish. Painted steel. Touch up any scratch from installation before the tank goes on, especially where fertilizer will drip.

Setting it up
Bolt the saddle to the frame or deck first and check it with a level across both diagonals. Set the empty tank in it, turn the tank so the outlet points where the hose will run, and strap it through the saddle rather than over the lid. Fill with water the first time so any leak or shift shows up before fertilizer is in the tank.
