Why this tank and not a cubetainer

The two tanks listed beside it are a different shape doing a different job. A cubetainer is low, wide and built to pour or draw off a fitting at working height, which suits new fluid going out to a bench. This one is tall and narrow and named as a containment tank with a level gauge, which suits a collection point that has to live against a wall at the end of a bay and get emptied by a vacuum truck. At 34 inches square it fits the gap a wider tank does not, and the 62 inches of height is what buys the 150 gallons back inside that footprint. Set it on a flat, continuous, level surface that carries the full square: a slab, a finished shop floor or a bunded bay floor, never two rails with the middle unsupported or one corner packed up. Empty it is a two-person move; full it is a fixed installation, and the load per square foot under a tall narrow tank is higher than under a low wide one, which is the honest cost of the footprint. Openings, the gauge and what to confirm

1. Manway. A 12 inch lid and manway on top, wide enough to pour from drain pans, to drop a suction wand in and to get a hand inside to clean. At 62 inches the lid sits above shoulder height for most people, so plan a step or a funnel for pouring.
2. Level gauge. It is part of the tank as sold; ask us for the gauge type and scale if it will be read from across the bay.
3. Fill and draw-off. No separate inlet or outlet is listed on this page. Tell us how oil goes in and how the hauler takes it out and we will confirm the fittings against the drawing before you order.

The cubetainers beside it

For new fluid going out rather than waste coming in, the low dispensing shapes are the 120 gallon Cubetainer tank with brass dispense fitting and the 180 gallon Cubetainer tank with brass dispense fitting.
