The Snyder Industries 150 Gallon Vertical Double Wall Waste Oil Tank (SKU SII-5710102N95703) is a yellow polyethylene tank built for waste oil collection and double-wall secondary containment, where the integrated outer wall catches a leak before it reaches the floor. It stands 62 inches tall on a 34 x 34 inch footprint, so it tucks into a tight shop bay or corner while keeping the containment reservoir wrapped around the inner tank. The wall carries a 1.5 specific gravity rating, the right Snyder vertical tank for heavier-than-water service.

Will it work for your fluid and your space

Plan your slab and rigging around real loaded weight, not the empty shell. Filled with water (SG 1.0) this tank holds about 1,251 lb, and at its full 1.5 specific gravity rating it can carry roughly 1,876 lb of contents. The 34.0 x 34.0 inch footprint is what your containment pad or curb has to support at that weight. For connections, this vertical tank comes with a 2-inch polyethylene bulkhead fitting (BJO #TF220PE) and a hinged 14-inch polypropylene manway with a lock for top access, filling, and inspection. Chemical compatibility

This tank is polyethylene rated to 1.5 specific gravity. The resin grade is not fully confirmed in our records, so confirm whether it is HDLPE or XLPE with us before committing it to chemical service. Compatibility is always concentration- and temperature-specific, so check the OEM chemical-resistance chart for your exact fluid and operating temperature, and treat the SG rating as the verified number here.

At its 1.5 SG rating, with the listed fitting and gasket materials, this tank handles: Acetic Acid 60% (PP/PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets) - see acetic acid; Aluminum Sulfate 50% (PVC, EPDM) - aluminum sulfate; Calcium Chloride 40% (PVC, EPDM) - calcium chloride; DEF 32.5% - diesel exhaust fluid; Ferrous Sulfate 20% (PVC, EPDM) - ferrous sulfate; Magnesium Chloride 30% (PVC, EPDM) - magnesium chloride; Sodium Carbonate 30% (PVC, EPDM) - sodium carbonate; Urea Solution 50% (PP/PVC, EPDM) - urea solution; and Ozonated Water up to 10 PPM (PVC, EPDM). Two wetted-material warnings before you connect anything. DEF (32.5%) requires 316 stainless fittings and Urea Solution (50%) requires PP/PVC - the supplied 2-inch polyethylene bulkhead is not the correct material for DEF service, so swap to 316SS before you run it. And matching the chemical is only half the job: the supplied PVC/EPDM hardware does not cover every fluid on the list. Several acids call for Viton gaskets (Hydrochloric, Hydrofluoric, Hydrofluosilicic, Hydrogen Peroxide, Phosphoric, Sulfuric, Sodium Hypochlorite), Peracetic Acid needs Aflas, and Sulfuric needs CPVC fittings rather than PVC - treat those swaps as hard requirements, not options.

The bigger mistake to avoid is matching the chemical but not the density. These fluids require a higher 1.9 specific gravity tank than this one: Ethylene Glycol (ethylene glycol), Ferric Chloride (ferric chloride), Ferric Sulfate (ferric sulfate), Hydrochloric Acid (hydrochloric acid), Hydrofluoric Acid (hydrofluoric acid), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (hydrofluosilicic acid), Hydrogen Peroxide (hydrogen peroxide), Peracetic Acid (peracetic acid), Phosphoric Acid (phosphoric acid), Polyaluminum Chloride (polyaluminum chloride), Potassium Carbonate (potassium carbonate), Potassium Hydroxide (potassium hydroxide), Propylene Glycol (propylene glycol), Sodium Bisulfate (sodium bisulfate), Sodium Bisulfite (sodium bisulfite), Sodium Hypochlorite (sodium hypochlorite), Sodium Thiosulfate (sodium thiosulfate), Sulfuric Acid (sulfuric acid), and Zinc Orthophosphate (zinc orthophosphate).
