Same shell, less wall to pay for

The move is the expensive part of owning a 16500 gallon tank, and choosing the 1.5 rated wall takes weight off the crane pick and the freight bill without changing the volume, the footprint or the lane. On a liquid at or near the weight of water it changes nothing about how the tank performs. That covers most of what a large plant stores in bulk: process and rinse water, a fertilizer solution, a treatment chemical near water density, effluent holding. What the pad carries is set by the liquid, not the rating: 137,610 lb of water through a 142 inch circle, because a rotationally moulded floor bears on its own floor and nothing else. The slab is engineered, level, cured and in full contact to our concrete pad sizing guide, and bermed where the liquid is regulated. Overhead, 257 inches of shell wants clear height plus working room above the manway; measure before the order is cut and cast the anchorage into the slab. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. 18 inch threaded vented manway, 257 inches up. Reaching it is a structure job, not a ladder job: a caged fixed ladder or a platform on adjacent steel, a rail and gate, and a hard-piped fill connection landed at the manway. Fill through a dip tube to the floor.
2. Outlet. This listing carries no outlet size. Tell us the liquid and the pipe you are tying into when you order and we confirm what Snyder fits to this shell before it ships; the drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.
3. Base plumbing. The draw-off carries the pressure of the full column. First valve on its own support off the pad, flexible connector to hard pipe, pump below the outlet with a low-level float.

Have the pad cured and the anchorage set before the truck is scheduled, and a crane with the reach to stand 5,100 lb upright in a single pick, straps around the body and never through the manway. Check the part number 5380000N40 against the bill of lading before you sign. Fill with water to the manway, hold it, walk the pad edge and the base for movement or a weep, then drain before the process liquid arrives on site.
