Where this tank earns its keep

A low black 275 is a holding vessel where light is the enemy and the ceiling is low: hypochlorite at a small treatment plant, a dark-stored fertilizer or micronutrient solution at a farm or nursery, a collected rainwater or grey water stage that must not grow algae, a used-oil or fluid tank in a truck shop, a sanitiser makeup tank under a mezzanine. A black shell runs warmer in sun, so a tank that will sit in direct summer sun with a warm liquid in it is the wrong application for this wall. Full, the load spreads across a 47 inch circle, the gentlest bearing in this range and the reason a squat tank goes onto an existing slab with the least argument; it still wants level and full contact under the whole base, and a new pour follows the concrete pad sizing guide, inside containment sized to the tank where the liquid is regulated. Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 59 inches up, on a base 47 inches across. A person standing on the floor gets a light into it and a hand to the threads, and a delivery hose goes over the rim without a lift.
2. Outlet. The manway is the only opening listed for this tank. Tell us the liquid and the draw-off you want when you order and we will confirm what can be fitted before anything is drilled.
3. Vent and fill. A dip tube to the floor; the vent piped outdoors on a fuming liquid and sized to the pump filling the tank.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 300 from Snyder's plant in Marked Tree, AR, 47 by 47 by 59 inches and 96 lb on the pallet. It comes off a liftgate on a pallet jack or with two people lifting under the base, never with a strap through the manway. Check the part number against 5740100N51 on the bill of lading.
