Where this tank earns its keep

Two hundred and seventy-five gallons is the number a plant that buys chemical in totes already thinks in, and this is the shape that fits where the totes used to sit: a low corner of a warehouse, a mixing room under a mezzanine, a wash bay beside the pump, a skid or trailer build, a container-based treatment unit. One vessel, one connection and one label replaces a stack of returnable totes. The crosslinked wall is there for the loads that arrive or work warm. At 59 inches the rim sits at about chest height, so it is filled and inspected from a step rather than a platform, and it rolls through a roll-up door on a skid. The wide base gives the lowest centre of gravity at this volume, and it asks for a pad that is flat right out to the edge of the 47 inch circle: a wide tank on a pad with one low corner puts its weight on that corner. Pour it to the concrete pad sizing guide and check level in two directions before the tank sits on it. Strap it anyway; 96 lb empty still walks on a slick slab. Openings and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway on top, 59 inches up, low enough to work at from a step. That makes an honest inspection routine realistic: a light on the wall above the liquid line, a look at the threads and gasket seat, the date on the log.
2. Outlet. The manway is the only opening listed for this tank. Tell us the liquid, its temperature and the draw-off you need when you order and we will confirm what can be fitted, in what material, before anything is drilled.
3. Vent and fill. Size the vent to the delivery pump and pipe it outdoors on anything that fumes. A dip tube to the floor keeps a wide shell from splashing all the way round.

A pallet jack or two people take it off, straps under the body and never through the manway. Check the part number against 5740100N48 on the bill of lading, fill it with cold water first, hold it while someone walks the base and the pad edge twice, then drain it before the working liquid arrives.
