Snyder part number 5740102N42 is a 275 gallon double wall tank moulded in natural white crosslinked linear polyethylene. An inner tank sits inside an outer containment shell, so the tank is its own secondary containment. It is 47 inches in diameter, 63 inches tall and weighs 200 lb empty, with an 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. The wall is rated for liquids up to 1.9 specific gravity, and the service limit is 140 F (60 C). 275 gallons of water weighs 2,294 lb; at the full 1.9 rating the contents can weigh 4,358 lb. Where it goes
At 275 gallons this is a feed tank or a day tank: chemical dosing at a well or a treatment skid, a reserve beside a process line, a small contained store in a shop where a spill cannot reach a floor drain. The 1.9 rating covers liquids nearly twice the weight of water, and the 140 F limit leaves room for liquids that run warm. If what you store is close to water in weight, ask us about a lighter rated tank.
The manway at 63 inches is within reach from a step, so filling and inspection need no platform. The 47 inch body is too wide for a single door, so measure the way in. Set it on a flat, continuous pad that can carry about 4,358 lb at the full rating.

Openings, and what to confirm before you buy
- Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top. It is the fill point, the vent and your view inside; keep the vent open during fill and draw.
- Outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the pipe size, the valve and the pump, and we will confirm with Snyder what this part number carries.
- The liquid. Look it up in our chemical compatibility guide and give us the concentration; gaskets and valves have to suit it too.
- The space between the walls. No leak detection is listed with the tank. Decide how you will check that space and log it. Snyder's drawing is linked under Technical Drawing on this page.

The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Snyder's Marked Tree, Arkansas plant, 47 by 47 by 63 inches on a pallet at 200 lb. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 5740102N42, walk around the outer wall and look at the manway threads, and note any damage on the receipt before you sign. Fill it with water first on its finished pad, check the base and the manway seal, then drain and dry it before it goes into service.
