Where it goes

A 360 gallon acid tank is a working tank, not a bulk tank. It sits beside a metering pump for pH control at a well, a small water or wastewater plant, a cooling tower or a process rinse, or it is the day tank fed from a larger bulk tank outside. The 53 inch footprint fits a pump room corner or a skid, and at 63 inches tall the top is within easy reach for the operator. Snyder names this tank for sulfuric acid but publishes no strength against the part number. Tell us the concentration and the temperature and we will confirm the tank with Snyder before you order. What to check before you buy

1. Floor. Close to three tons at the full rating on a 53 inch circle. Set it on a flat, level concrete floor or pad with full support under the base; our guide to concrete pad sizing for above ground polyethylene tanks covers a new pad.
2. The way in. 53 inches across: measure the door and the route before the tank arrives.
3. Manway. The 18 inch threaded vented manway takes a fill line, a suction lance and a level instrument, with room left to look inside. Opaque white hides the level, so plan a gauge.
4. Fittings. No factory outlet is listed. If you need a side or bottom connection, tell us before the order; on a double wall tank it passes through both walls and is installed at the factory.
