Snyder Industries 275 Gallon Sodium Hypochlorite (UV) Double Wall Tank

Where it goes

This is a contained day tank for a hypochlorite feed: a well house, a small water system, a pool plant, a wastewater disinfection skid. The name is Snyder's; the product information we hold gives no concentration limit, so tell us the strength you buy and we will confirm the tank is the right one for it before you order. The opaque wall is the point of this version over a natural white tank: it keeps light off the contents. The 120 F limit means the tank is for ambient storage, so keep it out of a hot pump room corner.

At 47 inches across and 63 inches tall it fits a chemical room and puts the manway within reach from a step. Under it, give it a flat, continuous pad able to carry about 4,358 lb at the full rating. Openings, and what to confirm before you buy

1. Manway. One 18 inch threaded vented manway on top: fill point, inspection point and vent. Hypochlorite gives off gas as it ages, so keep the vent clear.
2. Outlet. No outlet or fitting is listed on this product. Tell us the feed pump, its suction size and the valve you want, and we will confirm with Snyder what this part number carries.
3. The liquid. Give us the product and strength; check it in our chemical compatibility guide. Gaskets, valves and tubing are chosen against the liquid as well as the tank.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships LTL at freight class 250 from Snyder's Marked Tree, Arkansas plant, 47 by 47 by 63 inches on a pallet at 200 lb. At the tailgate, check the bill of lading against 5740102N52, look over the outer wall and the manway threads, and write any damage on the receipt before you sign. Set it on the pad, fill it with water first to check the base and the manway seal, then drain and dry it before the first chemical goes in.
