This part number or the standard one

Snyder sells the same 290 gallon open top size under two part numbers. The standard tank is 1550300N45; this one, 1550300N30, carries the sulfuric acid storage name. Their size, weight, material, colour, 1.9 rating and 120 F limit match, so the difference is not in those numbers. When a maker assigns a separate part number for a named service, order the one your specification names, and order it by part number. What we will not do is tell you this tank suits your acid at your strength and temperature from a name alone. Send us the concentration, the working temperature and how long the acid will sit in it, and we take that to Snyder and come back with the answer before the order ships. What to check before you buy

1. The open top. An open vessel exposes the surface to the room, the weather and anything that falls in. Plan ventilation for fumes, keep rain out if it stands outside, and keep the working side clear.

3. Outlets. No outlet or fitting is stated for this tank. If you need a drain or side connection, tell us the size and position and we confirm with Snyder.

The tank ships LTL from Snyder's Merced, CA plant, 42 by 42 by 47 inches at 100 lb, under NMFC 156600. Two people can handle it off a liftgate. At the tailgate, check the part number against 1550300N30 on the bill of lading, since the standard tank looks the same, and inspect the rim and the base for damage. Fill it with water first to check it before any acid goes in.
