Where it goes

Under a mezzanine, a pipe rack or a shed roof, in a pump house with a joist for a ceiling, on a trailer that needs no height permit, and on a bermed outdoor pad where a short shell stays below the berm wall. What goes in it

Dark storage for a liquid that does not attack polyethylene at room temperature: fertilizer and nutrient solution, feed concentrate, wash bay makeup, and reclaimed or harvested water on a site that wants nothing growing in it. Check any chemical in the chemical compatibility guide before you order; a liquid or temperature that asks for a crosslinked wall should go in one of the crosslinked versions of this shell instead.

Openings and fittings

1. Manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway at the top of a 59 inch shell, reached from a step with a hand on the rim. It admits a fill hose, a vent line and a level probe together, and a cleaning wand; internal work is done through it, not by entry. Land the fill line on a permanent connection with a dip tube to the floor, and pipe the vent outdoors on anything that fumes.
2. Outlet. Name the liquid and the draw-off you need when you order and we will confirm what this tank accepts at the base and in what material before anything is cut. Whatever is plumbed there sits on its own support with a flexible connector to hard pipe.
