Where it earns its place

At 48 inches across it sits on a four foot square of floor and stands just over six feet tall. That makes it a good fit for a chemical feed room, a treatment skid, a boiler or cooling tower dosing station, or a shop that has outgrown totes and wants the spill protection built into the tank instead of a separate bund. What to check before you buy

1. The floor. A full tank puts up to about 6,418 lb on a 48 inch circle. It needs a flat, continuous, level slab with no joint, timber or shim under the base.
2. The manway. An 18 inch threaded vented manway is the fill, inspection and cleaning opening. At 73 inches it sits around head height, so a low step reaches it. Keep the vent clear every time it is opened.
