The Snyder 7430000C137 is a white high density linear polyethylene vertical liquid storage tank, 102 inches across and 188 inches tall, holding 6,000 gallons at 1,650 pounds. Its wall is rated on the spec sheet for a specific gravity of 1.9, or 95,076 pounds of contents against 50,040 for water, and it ships with no outlet fitting installed: the buyer drills the bulkhead where the pump wants it, in the size and material the liquid calls for, which is how a plant that fits its own tanks prefers to buy. The eight and a half foot base puts a tanker load and a reserve on a pad smaller than the tanker, fifteen and a half feet up. An 18 inch lid on top, and it ships as oversize freight.

A factory outlet is at the factory's height, on the factory's side, in polypropylene; a blank tank lets the installer put the bulkhead exactly where the pump sits, in polypropylene, PVDF or a lined fitting as the liquid demands, and add a high-level port, a second outlet or a recirculation return, all with a hole saw and a bulkhead kit. Rotationally molded polyethylene tanks are sized to ASTM D1998, and the sheet rates this wall for liquids nearly twice as dense as water, so brine and coagulant are covered as well as water. Access, outlet, service limit
- Outlet: none installed. Drill the bulkhead on a flat of the wall, low enough to drain and high enough to clear sediment, with a hole saw sized to the bulkhead kit; a flexible connector and an expansion joint to hard pipe, and the valve supported off the slab.
- Access: 18 inch lid, 188 inches up; filled by truck through a dip tube, vented outside on anything that fumes, and size the vent for a tanker's unload rate.
- Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.
Drill with the tank empty and dry, deburr the hole, and set the bulkhead gasket on the inside of the wall, hand-tight plus a quarter turn; overtightening a bulkhead in polyethylene is the usual first leak. On a tank this tall nobody reads a level by eye; fit a sender read at ground level, and a low-level switch protects the pump. Keep the lid closed against vapor loss, and keep the tank out of direct sun where the liquid is light-sensitive. If winters freeze, wrap or drain the outlet valve and the first pipe run; the body takes ice from the top down without harm.
When the tanker backs in
The driver's pump can deliver faster than the lid vent can breathe, so the vent is sized for the unload rate or the fill goes through a dedicated top bulkhead with its own vent line. The fill pipe runs to the floor so the liquid does not free-fall and foam; on a shell this tall that is a long drop. The first delivery into a new tank is watched from start to finish, with the slab edge and the new outlet fitting checked as the level climbs, and every delivery after that goes in the log with a date and a strength.
