5,000 gallons at 1.5 specific gravity, under ten feet

The Snyder 32362 holds 5,000 gallons of liquid in a white high density linear polyethylene shell 119 inches across and 116 inches tall, weighing 1,305 pounds. Its wall is rated for a specific gravity of 1.5, or 62,550 pounds of contents against 41,700 for water, which covers brine, fertilizer solutions and dilute treatment chemicals at plant scale. The outlet is a 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a 2 inch reducer siphon tube to the floor, so the tank sits flat in a containment basin and still empties completely; a 20 inch threaded, vented manway on top.

Two ways to buy. Add it to your cart above with freight quoted to your ZIP, or request a written quote for a job that needs paperwork.

Ten feet each way, with a siphon

Full, the 32362 loads a 119 inch circle to 62,550 pounds at the rating: an engineered slab in full contact under the whole floor, level enough that 116 inches of tank stands plumb, and the empty shell strapped against wind. Under ten feet tall and under ten feet wide is the shape most sites end up with at 5,000 gallons, and the siphon outlet lets it stand in a basin with no clearance under the fitting, at the cost of needing a pump or a prime rather than gravity. Look up the density of the liquid at the concentration you buy; under 1.5, this is the right wall. The tank sizing calculator and the tank sizing guide settle the volume against the delivery interval, and the day tanks that usually stand beside a bulk tank are covered in the 2,000 gallon vertical tank buyers guide.

The 32366 is this shell with 145 more pounds of wall and the 1.9 rating for concentrated chemicals. The 1002100C34 puts the same 5,000 gallons on a 102 inch base at 154 inches, 38 inches taller and 355 pounds lighter, for the site with height and no floor; the 5480000N40 goes narrower still at 90 by 202 inches. The 32372 is the 5,100 gallon tank on a 102 inch base at 159 inches.

Openings as shipped

  • Outlet: 3 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a 2 inch reducer siphon tube to the floor; a flanged transition, an expansion joint, and a valve supported off the slab. A siphon outlet needs a pump or a prime; it does not gravity-drain below the fitting.
  • Access: 20 inch threaded, vented manway, a step-ladder reach at 116 inches; size the vent for the fill and draw rates.
  • Service limit: 120 F / 48 C.

Fill through a dip tube to the floor so a tanker unload does not free-fall and foam, keep the vent clear so a fast draw cannot pull a vacuum on the wall, and prove the siphon draws to the floor on the water test. A white tank shows its level in daylight; in a pump room, a hydrostatic sender at the outlet.

In service

Liquid fertilizer and brine at a co-op that takes full tanker loads, dilute treatment chemicals at a plant with a containment basin, and bulk water where a heavier wall is wanted outdoors; with water in it, a fire reserve sized under NFPA 22 as the fire-water reservoir design guide describes. In a freezing climate a solution expands against a wall not designed for ice; house the tank or keep it above freezing.

Freight and unloading

At 119 inches across the 32362 is oversize freight (NMFC 156600) on a flatbed at a lane rate; the freight cost estimator prices it for your ZIP, and the listed price is before freight. A crane or a large telehandler sets 1,305 pounds on the slab. Strap it, water-test in stages with a hold, drain through the siphon to prove it, and check the fitting before the product goes in. The first fill is the only cheap time to find a problem, so do it in daylight with someone watching the base.
