3500 Gallon Plastic Vertical Liquid Storage Tank in White

Where a 3,500 gallon tank fits

This is a large water tank that still fits on one truck and one pad. Typical jobs are a home or cabin supply on a well that cannot keep up with demand, rainwater collection off a barn or shop roof, livestock water, irrigation and greenhouse storage, a construction or dust-control reserve, and a rural fire reserve. For that last use, read our rural fire water reservoir guide first, including its freeze protection section, and check with your local fire authority. The white wall shows the water level from outside, which makes checking supply a walk-by job. The base matters more than the tank: 29,190 lb of water on a 96 inch circle needs a level, continuous surface, and the concrete pad sizing guide explains how to build one. To compare sizes, our buyer's guides for the 2,000 gallon and 500 gallon white vertical tanks show the smaller options, and the tank sizing calculator and tank sizing guide turn a daily use into a volume.

What to check before you buy

1. The outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting with a siphon tube. Your valve, hose adapter or pump suction threads straight in; support it so the fitting does not carry the hardware.
2. The manway. 20 inch, threaded and vented, wide enough to fill from a hose or a downspout line, fit a float switch and reach in to clean. Screen the vent against insects.
3. Height. 125 inches plus the base. Check it against eaves, power lines and branches before the truck arrives.
4. Drinking water. If people will drink it, tell us; we will go over what the resin and fittings need for that use.
5. Light. A white tank lets some light through, which can grow algae in stored water. Shade it, or ask us about a black tank.

Shipping and receiving

The tank ships at 550 lb from Albertville or Merced. The listed price is before freight; the freight cost estimator gives the cost to your ZIP. Plan the route from the truck to the pad: a 96 inch tank needs a wide gate and a clear path. At the tailgate, check 32288 on the bill of lading, look the shell and the fitting over for transit damage, and lift by the body, never by the fitting. Fill it with water and watch the bulkhead for a weep in the first day.
