This is a polyethylene tank rated to 1.5 specific gravity. The resin classification reads HDLPE but is not yet confirmed - verify HDLPE versus XLPE (crosslinked) with the factory before committing this tank to chemical service, since crosslinked resin offers different chemical resistance. At its 1.5 SG rating, this tank handles a defined set of chemicals at specific concentrations, each with its correct fitting and gasket material. Note also that several of those higher-SG services need Viton gaskets rather than EPDM - hydrochloric acid, hydrogen peroxide, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, and sodium hypochlorite among them - and peracetic acid calls for Aflas.
