The Enduraplas 200 Gallon White Horizontal Leg Tank (THF00200W) is a 200-gallon horizontal leg tank built for transport on a skid, trailer, or pickup bed, where the low 27-inch profile and integrated legs keep the load stable in motion. Molded in natural white polyethylene, it measures 27 inches high by 47 inches wide by 55 inches long and sits on a 47.0 x 55.0-inch footprint. Critically, it carries a 1.9 specific gravity rating, which is what makes this 200 gallon horizontal tank a genuine chemical and fertilizer hauler rather than a water-only vessel.

Will it work for your job?

Filled with water, this tank weighs about 1,668 lb full, and its structure is rated to carry contents up to 3,169 lb. That spread is the whole point of the 1.9 SG rating. Divide the 3,169 lb content rating by 200 gallons and you get a ceiling of roughly 15.8 lb per gallon, versus 8.34 lb per gallon for water. So before you fill, check your product's density off its label: anything up to about 15.8 lb/gal (1.9 SG) stays within the tank's structural limit, while a water-rated tank would be overstressed by the dense liquids this one is built for. Run your specific liquid and volume through the Tank Sizing Calculator, and if you are matching tank size to an application, the Tank Sizing Guide walks through it. See the technical drawing on this page for fitting locations and leg spacing before you build your mount.

Chemical compatibility

This is a polyethylene tank with a 1.9 specific gravity rating, which covers the dense chemistries below. One note before chemical service: the resin grade for this unit is recorded as HDLPE but unconfirmed, so verify HDLPE versus XLPE (cross-linked) with us at 866-418-1777 before committing it to an aggressive chemical, since the two resins behave differently against oxidizers and solvents. This tank also ships without fittings installed, so you select the bulkheads and gaskets to suit your liquid, and matching them correctly is the difference between a tank that lasts and one that fails at the bulkhead. Confirm placement against the technical drawing on this page.

Watch the fitting and gasket material: most chemistries below use PVC fittings with EPDM gaskets, but several do not. DEF (32.5%) requires 316 stainless fittings, not PVC, and so do peracetic acid (30%, Aflas gasket), propylene glycol, and zinc orthophosphate. Sulfuric acid (98%) needs CPVC. And the oxidizers and strong acids call for Viton gaskets instead of EPDM: hydrochloric acid (37%), hydrofluoric acid (48%), hydrofluosilicic acid (26%), hydrogen peroxide (50%), phosphoric acid (85%), and sodium hypochlorite (<16.5%).

The full list of compatible chemistries at their listed concentrations: acetic acid (60%, PP/PVC, EPDM), aluminum sulfate (50%, PVC, EPDM), calcium chloride (40%, PVC, EPDM), DEF (32.5%, 316SS, EPDM), ethylene glycol (100%, PVC, EPDM), ferric chloride (50%, PVC, EPDM), ferric sulfate (60%, PVC, EPDM), ferrous sulfate (20%, PVC, EPDM), hydrochloric acid (37%, PVC, Viton), hydrofluoric acid (48%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrofluosilicic acid (26%, PP/PVC, Viton), hydrogen peroxide (50%, PVC, Viton), magnesium chloride (30%, PVC, EPDM), peracetic acid (30%, 316SS, Aflas), phosphoric acid (85%, PVC, Viton), polyaluminum chloride (PVC, EPDM), potassium carbonate (50%, PVC, EPDM), potassium hydroxide (saturated, PVC, EPDM), propylene glycol (PP/316SS, EPDM), sodium bisulfate (PVC/PP, EPDM), sodium bisulfite (PVC/PP, EPDM), sodium carbonate (30%, PVC, EPDM), sodium hypochlorite (<16.5%, PVC, Viton), sodium thiosulfate (40%, PVC, EPDM), sulfuric acid (98%, CPVC, Viton), urea solution (50%, PP/PVC, EPDM), zinc orthophosphate (PP/316SS, EPDM), and ozonated water (up to 10 PPM, PVC, EPDM). Always confirm against the OEM chemical-resistance chart for your exact concentration and operating temperature, and start at our chemical compatibility hub for the full data.

Freight and ordering

This tank ships LTL freight from the plant in Neche, ND, quoted live to your ZIP code. Get a number before you order with the Freight Cost Estimator, or call 866-418-1777 and we will quote it by phone. If you are spec'ing a leg tank for fertilizer transport, our guides on applicator and leg tanks for fertilizer and fertilizer-blend tank stratification cover the field details, and the DOT classification guide for portable utility tanks explains where the agricultural exemption applies.
