At 49 by 38 inches the tank fits across a full size pickup bed or along a utility trailer, and at 41 inches tall it stands above the bed rails, so it rides with the bed open. Full of water the load is about 1900 lb with the tank, which is the payload of a half ton pickup used up in one item, so most people run this size on a three quarter ton or on a trailer. Strap it through the moulded leg recesses, never over the lid. Norwesco makes a band kit for this tank: two bands, part number N-60478, optional on this size, and the right answer wherever the tank rides on a vehicle rather than sitting still. What goes in it

Water, liquid fertilizer and the common farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Before anything else goes in, check the liquid in our chemical compatibility guide; the entries for urea solution, DEF, calcium chloride, sodium hypochlorite and sulfuric acid are the ones leg tank buyers ask about most. Liquids heavier than 1.5 times water, which is 12.52 lb per gallon, need a heavy duty tank, not this one, and the contents stay under 120 F. Openings and fittings

1. Outlet. A 2 inch polypropylene female NPT bulkhead fitting, factory installed low in the end wall. Your ball valve, camlock or hose adapter threads straight into it. Support the valve and the first length of hose so the fitting carries liquid, not hardware.
2. Fill lid. An 8 inch threaded vented lid on top: wide enough to fill from a hydrant hose or a pump and to get a hand inside to clean. The vent lets air in as the pump draws liquid out; keep the lid on while you drive.
