The Enduraplas 3200 Gallon Green Horizontal Leg Tank is a haul-spec polyethylene leg tank built to move dense liquid across the field and down the road. The horizontal body sits on integrated legs with a 97-inch by 145-inch footprint and an overall height of 79 inches, so it cradles into a flatbed, trailer, or skid frame without a separate cradle structure. The decision metric on this tank is the 1.9 specific gravity rating: it is engineered to carry roughly 24,000 pounds more than a water-grade enduraplas tank allows before you hit the wall rating.

Will it work for your load?

At 3200 gallons, a full load of water weighs roughly 26,688 pounds, and the tank is rated to carry contents weighing up to 50,707 pounds. That spread - about 24,019 pounds of headroom over plain water - is exactly why the 1.9 SG rating matters: you have real room to haul fertilizer blends, brines, and other heavy liquids well above the weight of water. Match your gallons and loaded weight to your rig with the Tank Sizing Calculator and Tank Sizing Guide, and confirm the loaded number against your trailer and axle ratings before you fill. Fitting locations and outlet details are shown on the technical drawing on this page.

Chemical compatibility

This horizontal leg tank is molded polyethylene with a 1.9 specific gravity rating. The resin is recorded as HDLPE in our data but the grade is not yet confirmed, so confirm HDLPE versus XLPE with us before putting it into chemical service. The chemicals below are compatible at the listed concentrations when matched with the correct fitting and gasket materials, per the OEM chemical-resistance chart, which is always concentration and temperature specific. Two patterns matter when you size a fitting kit: most entries run on PVC or PP fittings with EPDM gaskets, but the acids and oxidizers below need Viton gaskets instead of EPDM, and two chemicals break the plastic-fitting pattern entirely and require 316 stainless.

Viton-gasket service: Hydrochloric Acid (37%, PVC), Hydrofluoric Acid (48%, PP/PVC), Hydrofluosilicic Acid (26%, PP/PVC), Hydrogen Peroxide (50%, PVC), Phosphoric Acid (85%, PVC), Sodium Hypochlorite (under 16.5%, PVC), and Sulfuric Acid (98%, on CPVC). The two metal-fitting exceptions: DEF (32.5%) needs 316SS fittings with EPDM, and Peracetic Acid (30%) needs 316SS fittings with Aflas gaskets. Do not assume plastic fittings throughout for those two.

The remaining compatible chemicals run on PVC, PP, or PVC/PP fittings with EPDM gaskets: Acetic Acid (60%), Aluminum Sulfate (50%), Calcium Chloride (40%), Ethylene Glycol (100%), Ferric Chloride (50%), Ferric Sulfate (60%), Ferrous Sulfate (20%), Magnesium Chloride (30%), Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate (50%), Potassium Hydroxide (saturated), Propylene Glycol (PP/316SS fittings), Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Carbonate (30%), Sodium Thiosulfate (40%), Urea Solution (50%), Zinc Orthophosphate (PP/316SS fittings), and Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM, PVC). At 1.9 SG this tank already covers heavy fertilizer blends and brines; if you need to verify a chemical or concentration above that, call 866-418-1777. See the full chemical compatibility reference and match your fitting and gasket materials to what you are hauling.

The mistake to avoid

The costly error on a haul tank like this is treating the 1.9 SG rating as the only limit. Two constraints govern every load, and the lower one wins: contents weight must stay at or under the 50,707-pound rating, AND your trailer, axle, leg, and tie-down ratings govern what you can legally carry on the road. Run the math both ways before you fill. For blends, watch stratification too - our guide on fertilizer-blend tank stratification covers the mixing and field-verification steps that catch a stratified load before the spreader runs off-spec, and the portable utility tank DOT classification guide covers the 49 CFR scope for farm fleet use.
