The following are listed as compatible in a 1.5 SG tank at the listed concentrations, and compatibility is concentration- and temperature-specific: Acetic Acid (60%, PP/PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets), Aluminum Sulfate (50%, PVC, EPDM), Calcium Chloride (40%, PVC, EPDM), DEF (32.5%, 316SS, EPDM), Ferrous Sulfate (20%, PVC, EPDM), Magnesium Chloride (30%, PVC, EPDM), Sodium Carbonate (30%, PVC, EPDM), Urea Solution (50%, PP/PVC, EPDM), and Ozonated Water (up to 10 PPM, PVC fittings, EPDM gaskets). Across this group, gaskets are uniformly EPDM and fittings are PVC or PP/PVC, with one exception: DEF requires 316 stainless steel fittings, so do not plumb DEF with PVC. Chemicals that need a higher-SG tank
Several common ag and water-treatment chemicals exceed what a 1.5 SG tank should carry and require a 1.9 specific-gravity tank instead. Do not run these in this unit: Ethylene Glycol, Ferric Chloride, Ferric Sulfate, Hydrochloric Acid, Hydrofluoric Acid, Hydrofluosilicic Acid, Hydrogen Peroxide, Peracetic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Polyaluminum Chloride, Potassium Carbonate, Potassium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Bisulfate, Sodium Bisulfite, Sodium Hypochlorite, Sodium Thiosulfate, Sulfuric Acid, and Zinc Orthophosphate. Several of these also demand more aggressive sealing materials than the EPDM used on the 1.5 SG list: Viton gaskets for hydrochloric, hydrofluoric, hydrofluosilicic, hydrogen peroxide, phosphoric, sodium hypochlorite, and sulfuric acid, Aflas for peracetic acid, and CPVC fittings specifically for sulfuric.
