A 925 gallon black leg tank that arrives with its outlet already plumbed
The Norwesco 925 gallon horizontal leg tank in black, part number 43675, is a polyethylene tank 80 inches long, 62 inches wide and 69 inches tall, weighing 280 lb empty. The moulded legs let it sit flat on a pad, a skid or a trailer deck without a cradle. What sets this version apart is the outlet: a 2 inch fitting with a 2 inch siphon tube, installed at the factory, so the tank drains from the low point and is ready to take a valve the day it lands. On top is a 16 inch lid. A yard tank, a nurse tank, a season's supply
Nine hundred and twenty-five gallons is a supply quantity: a fertilizer nurse tank on a trailer, a blend or batch tank in the yard, a water tank feeding a pump through a season. The legs mean no cradle to buy or build, but they do need a flat, continuous surface under all of them; a leg tank on gravel that has washed out under one leg puts its weight on the others and the wall between. Full of water it weighs close to 7700 lb and more with fertilizer, so on a trailer the axle and tongue ratings decide the load, not the tank. Strap through the leg recesses, never over the lid. What goes in it
Water, liquid fertilizer and the farm and treatment chemicals that polyethylene handles are the normal loads. Openings and fittings
- Outlet with siphon. A 2 inch fitting installed at the factory with a 2 inch siphon tube reaching to the low point of the tank, so the tank empties nearly completely without a sump. Tell us the valve or camlock you are connecting and we will confirm the thread before the order ships.
- Inlet. No inlet fitting is installed. Fill through the lid, or tell us where you want a fill port and we will supply the bulkhead fitting with the tank.
- Lid. A 16 inch lid on top, wide enough to fill from a hose or a pump, drop a float in and get a brush inside.
